Well since I turned on my computer this morning firefox won’t open. I tried internet explorer and that doesn’t work either. The only sign I get from firefox is when shutting down and the ‘end now’ thing comes up. I went on safe mode and firefox works fine on there so I tried downloading it again but that made no difference. Also my internet connection is fine.
Any ideas? Could it be spyware?

I would advise you to run a system restore to the last time everything worked ok. If Vista go to Start>Programs>Accessories>System Tools>System Restore. Follow onscreen instructions and choose a recent date when everything was fine. Once restore is finished you should ensure your antivirus and antispyware protection is up to date and adequate and run full scans. Also install Windows Defender.

Somtimes this same thing happens to me sometimes when you open your firefox or even internet explorer it stops at 64-72 MB When Atempting To Open Somtimes You May Have To Wait 30mins- 2 hours Unless You Close It Out Through WIndows Task Manager (CTRL+ALT+DELETE)
And You Have To End the process youself or it dosnt close out this may occur if one of these things happen
1) You Have Any Bad Tool Bars Bing Bar, Ect That Run More MB Then Firefox Its Self Does Witch Sometimes Gives It A Hard Time To Run So I Suggest Uninstalling Any Tool Bars If You Have Any
2) You have To Many Things Open Games, Programs, Ect And Sometimes Also If You have These “Tool Bars” Theirs Not Enough Space For Firefox To Start So It Stops At 64-72 MB AT The process

The Only Thing I Can Suggest To Do Is Go To (Start Button, Control Panel, Uninstall A Program, Delete Any Tool Bars Or Firefox Attachments, And Restart Your Computer And I’m Sure That Should Work -
i had the exact same problem with my pc … its really easy and simple to solve. just load task manager (by pressing ctrl alt and delete at the same time and clicking task manager or by right cliking on the toolbar at the very bottom of ur pc screen next to the button ’start’) once task manager is opend click processes and look for firefox.exe then click on it ONCE so it is highlighted. when it is highlighted click end process. once the process has ended just click on the mozilla firefox button as normal and it will load hope it helped!!

The fact that things work in safe mode means that there is something loading that shouldn’t be, or is slowing your machine right down.
Go into run box from start menu, and type msconfig, once you are in there under the startup tab, untick items you don’t want. Some of them are important system things though, so untick the wrong one and your computer might not work properly.
